Description

The United States Mint introduced the first 24-karat gold bullion coin with the Gold Buffalo in 2006. The design is modeled after the famous 1913 Type 1 Buffalo Nickel originally made by James Earle Fraser. The obverse depicts the well-known Indian Head design, with the reverse featuring the classic buffalo design along with inscriptions of the denomination, weight, and gold content. While gold prices may fluctuate, popularity and value of the American Gold Buffalo coin are continuously increasing. Each coin is presented in an elegant hardwood box with a matte finish and a leather-like inset. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
